Holiday Season 2009

So I think I've finished re-capping 2009 travels. On to the holidays! This year we had Thanksgiving at our house, my parents, Chris, Nick's Mom and Sean came over. It was a delightful affair. Nothing fancy but we enjoyed each other and it was nice to spend a holiday at home.

After Thanksgiving things got a little crazy for me. I got a promotion at work starting December, 1. So, the month of December was spent trying to learn my new job and continue to work in my old job while they tried to fill the position. I am happy to say that it is January 30, 2010 and my replacement has been at the bank for 2 weeks!

During all that craziness Christmas happened. It was wonderful! Holiday's are always tiring for us because we run around and try and see everyone but this year it wasn't so bad, we got all our visits in and still got home at a decent hour (and Christmas was on a Friday so we had the whole weekend to re-coop). We spent Christmas Eve with Nick's mom then spent Christmas morning at home, Christmas afternoon with my family and Christmas evening with Nick's Dad and family.

After Christmas we needed a little R&R so we rang in the new year in Orlando! That will be another post but I will say that you may not have to wait long for it because it's going to be a cold snowy weekend so going out isn't going to be much of an option.
